A healing journey through the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet
After my beautiful Golden Retriever Ajax passed away, I searched for a book that could help guide me through the deep pain I was feeling. I wanted something gentle… something that understood the unique grief that comes with losing an animal who was not “just a pet,” but family, a soulmate, and a constant companion.
While I found a few helpful resources, nothing truly spoke to my heart or reflected the depth of the bond we share with our animals.
About six months after losing Ajax, I felt it was time to share about our story. I realised that perhaps the book I had been searching for was the very book I was meant to write.
So I sat down and began writing Pet Loss & Grief – From Loss to Love.
I wrote it for myself… for my friends and family who had supported me through my loss… and for the many beautiful clients I work with who are navigating their own journeys of grief after losing a cherished pet.
Over the years I have experienced the loss of six beloved animals in six years. Through this journey, and through my work connecting with pets both living and in spirit, I have witnessed how deeply love continues long after our animals leave their physical bodies.
